All Roads Lead to Maker Faire:NC!

 

The 2011 Maker Faire:NC will be held at the NC State Fairgrounds in the Gov. Kerr Scott building.  The address of the venue is 1025 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raleigh NC 27607.

By Car

From Chapel Hill, 30 Minutes

From RDU International Airport, 15 Minutes

From Raleigh, 15 Minutes

From Greensboro, 1.25 Hours

From Charlotte, 2.5 Hours

From Richmond VA, 2.75 Hours

From Columbia SC, About 4 Hours

From Washington DC, About 4.75 Hours

From Knoxville TN, 6 Hours

Parking

There's lots of free parking available but please try to carpool to save money and the environment.

Carpooling

Don't come in a half-empty vehicle! To catch, or give, a ride from anywhere, sign up for a free account at PickupPal and join the Maker Faire:NC Group, then follow the instructions to request or offer a ride. Drivers can follow our driving directions (below) depending on which direction you're coming from.

By Bus

The Raleigh Greyhound Station is at 314 W Jones St.  You can plot your route at Greyhound's Website.

The Fairgrounds have a CAT stop on the city bus system. Plan your route at gotriangle.org.

By RailAmtrak Carolinian/Piedmont Route

The Raleigh Amtrak station (RGH) is at 320 West Cabarrus Street.  This station serves the Carolinian/Piedmonts and Silver Service/Palmetto routes.  These routes cover a nice chunk of the East coast.  You can plan your route at Amtrak's Website.

By Air

The closest Airport is RDU International Airport, 2400 W. Terminal Blvd, Morrisville, NC 27623.
