Makers - 2012 > Makers A-F > Eagle Robotics
Eagle Robotics is a free program at Efland-Cheeks Elementary School that has been made possible by Toyota Tapestry, NSTA, SplatSpace Durham, the Triangle Robotics Society, LEGO Education and the 100 Black Men of the Triangle, which makes our school an excellent example of how public schools and the maker community can work together.
Fifth grade students at our school use LEGO NXT robots to investigate force and motion. They have also just begun creating LEGO math and science lessons for kindergarten students for an event to which we have invited NCLUG.
We would like to bring a team of students to provide a kids area for Maker Faire NC where young children can have a hands-on experience investigating physics, math, and science. Our goal is to develop the next generation of leaders while having fun in the process.
