Makerfaire Volunteers

We welcome and depend on volunteer participation at the Maker Faire:NC.  Our volunteers are crucial to the success of of Maker Faire:NC!.

Volunteer Time Commitments

To help the volunteer remain coordinator sane, shifts  will be in 3-hour blocks of time and we request that you commit for at least one 3-hour block but you are welcome to volunteer for more.  Of course, we'll make sure that all of our volunteers have time to experience the faire itself.

Work Areas

• Tickets: Sell tickets, take tickets, help with pre-sold check-ins, stamp folks on the way out.
• Maker Lounge: Keep the break room (for makers and volunteers) stocked and in order.
• Info Table / Misc: Sit at the information tabel and  direct people to exhibits, first aid, food, bathrooms, music, and help handle any odd jobs that come up (Cover a table for  a maker, help restock the breakroom, etc.) 
• Setup / Teardown (Friday, Late Saturday):Help exhibitors load-in and setup their booths on Friday, and packup and move out on Saturday.  This job has the potential to be physically demanding.
